ISLAMABAD ;. July 22, 2022. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed the offices of Ghauri Town Housing Society here
The CDA took action against Ghauri Town Housing Society under Punjab Housing Society Rules 2010.
The management of Ghauri Town Housing is involved in multiple frauds. The Ghauri Town Housing Society is involved in massive frauds and its affectees have been protesting against illegal actions of the society.
According to CDA notice, the Ghauri Town Housing Society is illegal and its all phases are being build- up without having no objection certificate (NOC) from the CDA , RDA and Islmabad administration .
The CDA had directed to the deputy commissioner Islmabad and local police to seal all the offices of the Ghauri Town Housing Society .
It has also asked in writing to the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) , Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Sui Northern Gas Company Limited (SNGPL ) not to give connections of any utility facility in Ghauri Town Housing Society .
The Guari Town Housing Society falls in Zone IV , where construction was banned . During the last around 15 years, the Ghauri Town Housing Society kept in selling plots to the people, besides selling commercial plots in Ghauri Town phase 3 where a new commercial hub has been established in the last 5 to 6 years .
The Ghauri Town Housing Society as of today houses over one lakh families. More than one lakh houses built in 8 phases of Ghauri Town have all facilities like gas, electricity and telephone connections.
The question arises why CDA remain indifferent to illegal construction in Ghauri Town for years. The CDA:s criminal silence provided golden opportunity to the owners of Ghauri Town Housing Society to defraud lakhs of families and individuals .
Meanwhile , the Rawalpindi Development Authority
(RDA’s) Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MPTE) Directorate has issued notices to New Metro City, Smart City, Prism Town, Capital Valley, Life Residencia, Seven Enclave, Manan City, Lake View City, Faha Fatima, Park Zameen Town, Hawks Melbourne City, and Kashmir Valley.
The notices have been issued under the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010. The RDA has asked these societies to submit mortgage plan and details of the societies .
