COAS Gen Asim Munir Vows to Thwart Any Conspiracy Against Pakistan
RAWALPINDI, December 3, 2024: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir assured the nation on Tuesday that the armed forces, with the full support of the people, will defeat any conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the country.
He made these remarks during a visit to Narowal and Sialkot, where he observed the training of troops.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Munir was briefed by the Gujranwala Corps Commander and the Training Inspector General, who outlined the objectives of the military exercise.
The army chief praised the professionalism, training, and high morale of the soldiers, emphasizing the military’s capability to safeguard Pakistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty against any external or internal threat.
The exercise involved integrated fire and maneuver operations, featuring various military units such as armor, infantry, mechanized infantry, artillery, air defense, army aviation, and anti-tank guided missile units.
The ISPR also noted the use of electronic warfare and information operations, which were aimed at disrupting enemy communications and countering disinformation tactics in modern warfare.
This field exercise is part of the army’s regular training program, conducted both independently and in coordination with other nations to ensure preparedness for all potential threats.
