RAWALPINDI: May 13,2023: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General , Syed Asim Munir, has warned that the Armed Forces will not tolerate any further violation of the dignity and security of its installations and that the planners of the Black Day of May 9 arson, incitement and attack Those will be brought to justice.
According to the statement issued by the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar and addressed the officers.
ISPR said that the army chief spoke about threats to national security.
“We will continue our struggle for peace and stability and no chance will be given to harm this process,” he said.
The Army Chief was briefed on the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts and the security situation.
According to ISPR, the army chief “appreciated the professionalism, efficiency and achievements of the law enforcement agencies in the ongoing war against terrorism”.
“The Chief of Army Staff briefed on the challenges of information warfare and disinformation efforts,” the statement said.
“The Army Chief also highlighted that there is a nefarious attempt by hostile elements to target the armed forces,” ISPR said.
The Army Chief reiterated his resolve to thwart such nefarious attempts with the support of the public.
