Will keep struggling for peaceful, stable Afghanistan: Pakistan asserts

ISLAMABAD: The National Security Council (NSC) on Friday reiterated Pakistan will keep struggling for w peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s top civil and military leadership took stock of fast changing security situation in the region, besides reviewing current situation in Afghanistan in a National Security Council (NSC) meeting.
The meeting called upon the international community to come forward to help Afghan government to avert looming human crisis in war-torn Afghanistan.
An official announcement made in a follow-up of NSC meeting held here with prime minister, Imran Khan, in the chair and participated by chiefs of armed forces, senior members of the federal cabinet and other concerned government functionaries, said the meeting reviewed matter relating to the national security, regional geo political situation, Afghan situation and its possible fallout on Pakistan.
According to the announcement, the prime minister expressed satisfaction over Pakistan’s preparedness for ensuring security and safety at the borders. The NSC meeting also discussed the border situation, besides noting that Pakistan will continue to make its efforts to persuade the world community to extend financial support to Afghanistan to strengthen Taliban government in Afghanistan.
Since takeover of Taliban, Pakistan is urging the international community to move forward to provide financial assistance to Afghanistan as the country was leaping towards worse human crisis due to non-availability of financial resources. Islamabad has repeatedly warned to the world community that instability and uncertainty may help terror groups to establish their networks in war-ravaged Afghanistan again.
Interior minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmed, gave some detail of the NSC decisions in his media talk here. He said Pakistan armed forces were fully ready to ensure flawless security at its borders. He said some elements in Pakistani politics were maligning state organs, but they will fail to achieve their goal.
Shaikh Rashid Ahmed was referring to PMLN vice president, Maryam Nawaz’s statement given in Islamabad High Court (IHC) a few days ago wherein she accused some state organs of maneuvering the courts.
