LAHORE : Dec 22,2022: Even after 24 hours , rumours and confusion rule in the Punjab . The Punjab Governor , Baleegh Ur Rehman, has not de-notified Chaudhary Pervez Elahi as chief executive of the province .
Chief minister , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi ,had not taken vote of confidence on the order of the Punjab Governor on December 21.
Under article 130 clause 7 of the constitution ,the Governor in such a case is required to denotify the chief minister of the province .
As per the constitution , the Governor of Punjab could have de-notified the chief minister in hours after his failing to take vote of confidence.
Till Wednesday even the hawks of the federal government were very active and it seemed that the Governor would de- notify Chaudhary Pervez Elahi as chief minister of the province in very short time .
Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah , was on the record on Wednesday evening saying the Governor of Punjab is going to denotify the chief minister of the province any time as he has failed to take the vote of confidence.
But it did not happen even after 24 hours from the deadline set for Chaudhary Pervez Elahi to take vote of confidence to prove his majority in the House.

Speaker Punjab assembly too seemed a different stuff on Thursday. He told media persons here that the Punjab assembly cannot be dissolved on December 23 due to legal complications attached with the no confidence motion moved by the opposition against the chief minister. He hoped the process to dissolve the Punjab assembly would start in the first week of January.
Political pundits argue that there is some unseen development which is barring the Punjab governor to denotify chief minister , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi but Rana Sanaullah still believes that the Governor Punjab may issue order to denotify Chaudhary Pervez Elahi.
In a sheer contrast to Rana Sanaullah, advisor to Prime Minister , Atta Tarar , said on Thursday that Chaudhary Pervez Elahi can take vote of confidence any time in the on-going session of the Punjab assembly.
