Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah organizes grand “Youm-e-Tashakkur” ceremony to honor Pakistan armed forces

Jeddah: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah, in collaboration with Pakistan International School Jeddah, organized a grand and dignified ceremony titled “Youm-e-Tashakkur” (Day of Gratitude) to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their outstanding achievements in Operation “Bunyān al-Marsūs”.

The event was attended by a large number of distinguished members of the Pakistani community, officials of the Consulate, officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, teachers, parents, and students. The school campus was decorated with national flags, patriotic banners, and enthusiasm-filled slogans, reflecting the unity and love for the homeland.

Consul General Khalid Majid’s Address:

While addressing the audience, Consul General Mr. Khalid Majid praised the bravery and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces, stating that they successfully foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy. He remarked that overseas Pakistanis stand shoulder to shoulder with their defenders, and that national unity is essential for the progress and prosperity of the country.

Chairman Kashmir Committee Masood Ahmed Puri’s Remarks:

Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, Mr. Masood Ahmed Puri, also spoke at the event, offering heartfelt tribute to the Armed Forces and urging the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the United Nations resolutions. He reiterated the unwavering support of Pakistanis for the people of Kashmir.

Patriotic Performances by Students:

The students of Pakistan International School showcased a vibrant and emotional tableau while dressed in military uniforms, which received huge appreciation from the audience. National singer Naeem Sindh further ignited patriotic fervor by performing inspiring national songs and presenting special video tributes.

Special Focus on Youm-e-Takbeer (May 28):

In commemoration of Youm-e-Takbeer (May 28)—the day Pakistan became a nuclear power—special videos were played, highlighting the strategic importance of the country’s nuclear achievements and the defense capabilities that safeguard national sovereignty.

Urdu-Arabic Anthem & Closing Prayers:

Press Counselor Mr. Irfan Chaudhry presented a specially composed friendship anthem in both Urdu and Arabic, celebrating the deep-rooted bonds between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The anthem received a warm ovation from the attendees.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the peace, development, and prosperity of Pakistan. The event was widely praised by the community and deemed a powerful expression of national pride, unity, and respect for the defenders of the homeland.
