ISLAMABAD : October 18,2022: A district and session court in Islamabad announced judgement in murder case of Barrister Fahad Malik and awarded life term to all three accused including Raja Arshad , Raja Hashim and Noman Khokhar .
The court had completed hearing into the case and reserved judgment last week.
The district and session judge Islamabad , Atta Rabbani , announced the verdict here on Tuesday .
All three accused Raja Arshad , Raja Hashim and Noman Khokhar , were present in the court when verdict was announced.
The accused had gunned down Barrister Fahad Malik on August 15, 2016
in F-10 sector of Islamabad soon after agreeing to a peaceful settlement in Shalimar police station falling in the same sub-sector in a minor scuffle over a petty issue a day before .
Fahad Malik, a young Barrister , was a nephew of former senate chairman and Pakistan Tehreek- e -Insaf (PTI) leader, Mian Mohammad Somro.
The trial in murder of a young Barrister took six years to conclude and announcement of the verdict.
The accused are known criminals and award of life term to them means nothing. They will get released from prison in may be couple of years and go for the same killing spree to kill some other Fahad Malik..
Such court decisions are basically a mockery of Pakistan’s failed judicial system . A judicial system which is costing Pakistan its survival .
In a seprrate case , Pakistan ‘s top court set free Shahzeb Sikander Jatoi’s son , a known Sindhi politician and landlord , in case of murder of an only son a Karachi based police office just for asking the convict not to harass his sister . Its another shame decision of Pakistan’s top court .
