ISLAMABAD ; August 10,2022. A local court of additional session judge on Wednesday granted 2-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) , Shahbaz Gill in sedition and inciting the public against the state institutions case.
The Kohsar police presented the PTI arrested leader before the duty magistrate , Umar Bashir , and demanded 14-day physical remand . The investigation officer of Koshar police submitted before the duty magistrate that Shahbaz Gill’s physical remand of 14- days was needed to investigate other characters who were associated with him in sedicious and anti state campaign . The investigation officer also pleaded in his arguments that Shahbaz Gill made highly sedicious remarks to provoke the public large against the state institutions and he initiated a formal campaign for it from ARY through his malicious remarks against the army top brass. He said the police want physical remand of Shahbaz Gill to recover his cell phone that was used by him to incite the public against the state institutions .
Fasial Chaudhary , the counsel for Shahbaz Gill , opposed physical remand of his client . He pleaded before the duty magistrate thar his client did not use sedicious language nor he incited the public against the state institutions . He said Shahbaz Gill was already under the police custody for the last 24 hours and therefore the police request for 14-day physical remand was illogical . Faisal Chaudhary also informed the court that his client was manhandled at the time of arrest and the police may be ordered for medical examination of his client .
After hearing the police and Fasial Chaudhary advocate , the court granted 2-day physical remand of the PTI leader.
The court ordered for physical examination of the arrested PTI leader and directed to the police to produce the accused before the court on August 12 (Friday).
Earlier, the police barred the journalists from entering into the courtroom.
Shahbaz Gill spoke to the journalists outside the courtroom . He said his remarks in question were neither sedicious nor he intended to incite the public against the state institutions . Mr Gill claimed that he was a patriot.
PTI leader, Fawad Chaudhary , also tweeted on arrest of Shahbaz Gill and claimed that all out efforts were being made to clear misunderstandings over Shahbaz Gill’s controversial remarks . Fawad Chaudhary who does not miss any opportunity to malign the state institutions in love of Imran Khan, tried to give an impression in his Wednesday’s tweets as if the state institutions particularly the army have differences with PTI to which he termed ” most popular political party of Pakistan . Fawad Chaudhary was on the forefront to make the army heli crash controversial . His Wednesday tweet also enfolds a clear threat to the state institutions . He said ‘ The differences between PTI and state institutions would be disastrous ‘.
There is a clear message from Fawad Chaudhary that the army had differences with PTI. Isn’t it enough to smell what is hidden agenda of PTI and to what extent its leaders like Fawad Chaudhary could go?
The police had arrested Shahbaz Gill a day before in Islamabad for making highly sedicious remarks in ARY NEWS programme. ARY NEWS has been playing a role of propaganda machine for PTI and is equally responsible of inciting the public against the state institutions.
