ISLAMABAD : March 13, 2023. Within hours after turning down of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) plea for exemption of its chairman , Imran Khan, from personal appearance amd following issuing of non-bailable arrest warrants by a local court, Islamabad police air dashed in Lahore to arrest ex prime minister in a case of giving threat to district and session female judge , Zeba Chaudhary.
The district and session judge, Islamabad had summoned Imran Khan in the case today (Monday). PTI chairman had not shown up to the court .
Imran Khan was also supposed to appear before the district and session judge in Tosha Khana case today. The court had summoned Imran Khan to indict him in Tosha Khana case.
Imran Khan’s counsel, Babar Awah advocate , had submitted an application in the district and session judge to seek exemption for his client from personally appearing before the court . The court turned down the request in hurling threats to the female judge , Zeba Chaudhary , case.In Tosha Khana case, the judge has reserved judgement on PTI request .
In order to implement the court orders, Islamabad police air dashed in Lahore to arrest Imran Khan.
The court ordered the Islamabad police to present Imran Khan in hurling threats to a female judge case on March 29 ,2023.
Imran Khan has not appeared the court in two cases , hurling threats to the female judge and Tosha Khana case, but he is leading the election rally in Lahore today. Imran Khan is mocking the courts by not appearing before them . His party is using security issue a cause of his staying away from the court
Rejection of the plea by the court and air dashing of the Islamabad police in Lahore to arrest Imran Khan has created a new situation for PTI.
Since a large number of PTI workers are already present in Zaman park Lahore, any attempt to arrest Imran Khan may get severe reaction.
