ISLAMABAD. August 24,2022. A district and session judge Islamabad on Wednesday turned down a request for another one week of Shahbaz Gill, chief security officer (CSO) of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) .
Special prosecutor , Raja Rizwan Abbasi, while making a case against Shahbaz Gill for seeking his physical remanded pleaded before the court that the accused was being investigated by the police for recovery of all those things including his cell phone which he used on August 9 , 2022 statement aired by ARY NEWS , inciting lower ranks of the military against its leadership .
The special prosecutor maintained that the police have not missed even a minute during the physical remand of Shahbaz Gill but yet it was to complete the investigation process . He added that the police have made some progress in the investigation . He argued that the police need physical remand of Shahbaz Gill to conduct polygraphic test .
The court enquired from the special prosecutor as to why Shahbaz Gill’s polygraphic test was not conducted in previous physical remand

Faisal Chaudhary advocate , counsel for Shahbaz Gill , opposed further physical remand of his client . He claimed that the police was demanding more physical remand of Shahbaz Gill for physically torturing him and extort a statement of their choice in the case . He pleaded before the court that it should reject the request of the prosecutor general for more 7-day physical rand of his client .
The court after hearing the arguments of the both parties rejected the request of prosecutor general for further physical remand of Shahbaz Gill and sent him to jail on judicial remand .
The police had arrested Shahbaz Gill in a sedition case two weeks ago .
He was handed over to the police three times for physical remand .
