LAHORE: A Dubai-based Don masterminded last week attack on
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) member of Punjab assembly and a close relative of Mian Nawaz Sharif, an initial investigation report of the case disclosed

Two motor cyclists had opened fire on Bilal Yasin last week when he was travelling on a motorcycle with a party worker in Salamat Pura area in Lahore. The attack left PMLN parliamentarian seriously injured with two bullets pierced in his body. He was lucky to survive the attempt on his life. The attackers had took turn in the street to reattack Bilal Yasin after feeling that their first attack had not done all but fortunately the pistol used by the operatives got stuck a bullet in its chamber and timely intervention of the locals forced the attackers to run from the scene.
The purpose of attacking Bilal Yasin seemed evident. Its mastermind worked on behalf of some anti Pakistan player. Had the attackers succeeded in their design, it could have created a serious crisis for Pakistan. The incident could have been directed towards some Pakistani agencies as happened in the past in many cases.
International agencies conduct covert operations in Pakistan to fan sectarianism or terrorism and then sponsored local political individuals or groups start raising fingers towards Pakistan’s secret agencies. There is a long list of such covert operations which were managed by Pakistan’s next door neighbour and then its blame was given to Pakistan’s secret agencies. Pakistan’s enemy applied rhe same design to target Bilal Yasin, but he remained lucky to survive.
A police officer told the media on the condition of not mentioning his name that arrest of an arms dealer in Lahore has made the police job easy for arrest of the operatives in Bilal Yasin’s attack case. Pakistan government is also going to seek extradition from Dubai of the Don involved in Bilal Yasin case
