ISLAMABAD: Prime minister , Imran Khan, has assigned the first task of preparing pro people budget 2021-22 to the newly formed 25-member economic advisory council (EAC).
Source said the prime minister , Imran khan, wants meanful and result-oriented work from EAC that could provide substantial relief to the people in upcoming budget (2021-22)
“We have been tasked by the prime minister to prepare people focused budget for the next fiscal year and the council has initiated its work to provide facts based input to the government for it’, one member of EAC told NEWSMAN on the condition of not mentioning his name in the story.
The prime minister has also assigned EAC to study entire economic policy framework and suggest some result-oriental measures to steer the country out of the on-going financial crisis.
EAC will also see overall economic policy framewok and provide the government factual input on budget 2021-22.
EAC will also work out some measures to cope up with the rising inflation and its impact on price -hike..
The prime minister is seriously concerned to the pricehike that has hit the lower middle class seriously.
The prime minister has constituted a 25-member EAC to provide the government input on important economic fronts.. The council to be headed by the prime minister. Its private members included Dr Abid Sulehri, Executive Director , Sustainable Development Institute (SDPI), Syed Saleem Raza, ex governor State Bank, Arif Habib, Salman Shah, former Finance minister, Shamshad Akhtar, ex governor State Bank of Pakistan took a job of preparimg budget 2021-22.
