KARACHI : Dec 20,2022. England white!- washed Pakistan in a 3-match test series by winning Karachi test here on Tuesday.
England had won the first test in Rawalpindi and second in Multan this month and lastly it bagged Karachi test with a comfortable win on Tuesday.
Pakistan could not even give rough time in all three test matches it played against England. Captain , Babar Azam , took the England tour to Pakistan and three test series in extremely casual manner. He never took a timely or proper step to even make Pakistan a serious and relevant team against the world best side of the cricket .
Interestingly , Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) too remained irrelevant throughout the tournament .
Pakistan’s only achievement in lost test series against England is discovery of Ibrar Ahmad,a mysterious spiner, who set a new record by sending majority of English batters back to the pavilion in the tournament. Abrar Ahmad took 11 wickets in Multan test . England too added a new weapon in its cricket arsenal . Its Rehan Ahmed set a new world record on debut in Pakistan.
In Karachi test , Pakistan’s performance was pathetic . As a result of half hearted game of Pakistani players , Karachi test ended on third day .
From PCB to coaches and then to players noone showed any interest in offering quality game against England team in the tournament. Pakistan’s side literally disappointed Pakistani cricket fans. Babar Azam himself seems playing as a hired player. He seemed least interested in leading his side as a captain.
After defeat in Multan test , a wailing Pakistani cricket fan was seen in a video clip that went viral on the social media who was crying and asking a question to himself what has gone wrong with Pakistani cricket team .
