Zamrud Khan, known to me personally, previously headed the Bait Ul Mal and is known for his charitable upbringing, innate kindness, and his family efforts to provide free drinking water to his entire neighborhood as per his early childhood memories that he once related to me when I met him at his office

This institution, a testament to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), stands as a proud accomplishment, showcasing the party’s commitment to selfless individuals like Zamrud Khan within its ranks. One of Zamrud Khan’s most remarkable acts of bravery occurred under the intense scrutiny of the national media. During an incident at D Chowk, he fearlessly confronted an armed intruder, exposing the vulnerability of the country’s security apparatus. Despite the risks involved, he took it upon himself to protect others, even the intruder was using his own wife as an emissary and human shield. Additionally, Prince Dr. Mahmud Aurangzeb confided in me about Zamrud Khan’s whole-hearted support for the family-run orphanage named Maskan in Swat.
