ISLAMABAD : Dec 28 ,2022; The federal cabinet , which met here on Wednesday with prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif in the chair here , deferred the National Energy Saving Plan and directed to the Energy Division to consult all the stakeholders to create a national consensus ifor effective implementation of the plan.
‘Take the National Energy Saving Plan back to the stakeholders including the provinces, All Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan government to get their say on the National Energy Saving Plan’, prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , told ,the minister for Energy Divion .
The Energy Divion had submitted the National Energy Saving Plan to the federal cabinet on Wednesday for its consideration and approval .
The prime minister presented the National Energy Saving Plan for detailed discussion and after.going through its details deferred it for more discussion.
Addressing the federal cabinet meeting , prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , said it was high time to switch over from costly source of power generation like furnace oil and coal as their import was costing huge foreign exchange to Pakistan. Shahbaz Sharif said the government was switching over to cheaper source of power production like solar energy and wind energy. He said switching over of power production to cheaper sources will help Pakistan save its foreign exchange.
The federal cabinet condemned recent terror related incidents including recent suicide bombing in Islamabad . The federal cabinet noted during its meeting that Pakistan will use all options to delete terrorism in its all forms.
The federal cabinet lauded the Islamabad police which foiled an attempt of terror in I-10 sector .
In I-10 sector , a suicide bomber had struck last week when Islamabad police intercepted a taxi at a check up point .
The federal cabinet was presented a detailed report on switching over of bike from petrol to solar energy . The cabinet was informed that the government has issued 11 licenses to companies . The prime minister said the government will make necessary arrangement to switch over petrol consuming bike to E booking .
