Murree : Jan 29: The first snowfall of winter in Murree has increased the intensity of cold. After the snowfall in Murree, the work of removing snow from the road has been started.
The district administration said that 5 inches of snow has fallen since last night. Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi reviewed the arrangements at Jhika Galli, Kashmir Point and other places. He further informed that a control room has also been set up for any emergency situation.
The administration has also issued an advisory for tourists in which the citizens have been instructed to avoid unnecessary travel. Apart from this, snowfall also occurred in Lower Dir and upper areas of South Waziristan as well as Ghazar district of Gilgit-Baltistan. The object is covered with a white cloak. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Potohar region and Kashmir, while it has also predicted snowfall on the mountains.
