LONDON. August 3, 2022. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) top leader , Nawaz Sharif , has said Imran Khan received foreign funding to implement foreign agenda in Pakistan and destroy it as a whole.
Commenting on the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decision of August 2, 2022 in Pakistan Tehreek. e Insaf (PTI) foreign funding case , PMLN top leader said on Tuesday ECP ruling is an indictment against PTI and its chairman, Imran Khan .
Nawaz Sharif argued that if a party gets funds from unlawful sources then its leader tries to implement foreign agenda in Pakistan and Tuesday’s decision of ECP has proved this fact beyond any doubt
Nawaz Sharif said Imran Khan and his party destroyed Pakistan’s economy, politics and culture as a part of his foreign agenda aimed at creating coas in Pakistan.
He called upon all political parties of Pakistan to unite against Imran Khan saying ” All political forces of Pakistan should play a role against this ‘fitna’ (evil) launched by some anti Pakistan forces for destruction of the country”.
Recalling his disqualification , Nawaz Sharif said he was disqualified in 2017 in a case of not getting salary from his son, which counted for a few lakhs . He said ECP decision in PTI case has established that Imran Khan was given a fake certificate for declaring him Sadiq and Amin. He claimed that those who doubt they should hear a video of former chief justice of Pakistan to get the real story.
Nawaz Sharif said Imran Khan launched a dirty campaign against ECP and started targeting its chief after feeling heating of foreign funding case.
Nawaz Sharif has come direct in the media on Imran Khan after a long time . Usually , PMLN local leadership gives reaction against PTI or its top leadership.
Nawaz Sharif’s direct entry in Pakistan’s politics has two obvious dimensions . First, Nawaz Sharif probably has felt that his local party leadership was not responding to Imran Khan’s narrative of posing himself as Sadiq and Amin and labelling political opponents as ‘Chor’ thieves and it was factual to great extent . Second, it seems Nawaz Sharif has reached to the conclusion that he has to return to Pakistan and put PMLN in motion in public to defeat PTI in upcoming elections.
A PMLN group is unhappy with Shahbaz Sharif and his son , Hamza Shahbaz ‘s political wisdom and it strongly argues that impotent role of the father , son duo caused irreparable loss to the party . This group is blaming Shahbaz Sharif and his team for the latest poor performance of PMLN in the last by-elections in Punjab.
Javed Latif , a federal minister , has been publicaly calling upon Nawaz Sharif to come back and lead the party from the front to win the next general elections .
