ISLALMABAD , Sep 12: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce (ICCI) chairman Founder Group Mian Akram Farid while addressing as a chief guest in a dinner hosted by Islamabad Industrial Association (IIA) in honor of Supreme Council, Co-Chairmen Election Campaign, AM and CM candidates said the sun of opposition will set forever and the sun of the Founder Group will rise again. Mian Akram Farid said the success of the Founder Group was inscribed on the wall. He noted ICCI and Founder Group are going forward together and despite nefarious designs of the opposition the chamber cannot be undermined. The chairman FG was of the view that his group was the name of an idea and mission and its principle office bearers and executive board transform it into the most prestigious chamber of the country and region. Mian Akram Farid said that all the past presidents given to the chamber by the Founder Group (FG) have made a history of services to the chamber and the business community on their own and left deep impressions of success. Chairman Founder Group said the chamber would soon have its own radio station and TV channel and efforts were underway to obtain their licenses. The establishment of a new industrial zone was a long-standing demand of the traders and industrialists of Islamabad and government was convinced and principally agreed in this regard.
In his introductory remarks,
Tariq Sadiq, President, Islamabad Industrial Association, highlighted his efforts for the industry and gave an overview of the many issues related to CDA and their redressal and how business activities will flourish in the future.
In his address, the current President of the Chamber,
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, said that he nurtured the spirit of business service in the most unfavorable conditions of the Corona pandemic and the success of all the office-bearers was exemplary.
The ICCI Office bearers, executive board along with CDA chairman visited markets across the city including supermarkets and carried out development works.
Recently, the 4th Business Excellence Award Ceremony was held at the Presidency. In addition, a few days ago, a three-day national level property, housing and construction exhibition was successfully held under one roof at the Pak-China Friendship Center in which more than 100 construction companies from across the country, including the region, exhibited their models. Prime Minister Imran Khan at the inauguration ceremony commended these efforts of the ICCI and congratulated the whole team as well.
In the graceful ceremony AM candidates were introduced by the Co-Chairman Election campaign Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi while CM candidates were introduced by the Co-Chairman Sheikh Amir Waheed.
The Senior Vice President (SVP), ICCI Fatima Azeem, Vice President (VP) Abdul Rehman Khan, Former Presidents ICCI Khalid Javed, Zafar Bakhtawari, Khalid Iqbal Malik, Mian Shaukat Masud, Mahfooz Elahi, Nasir Khan, Abdul Rauf Alam, Shaban Khalid, Atif Ikram, Mohammad Ahmed, Ahmad Hassan also spoke on the occasion. Apart from Chaudhry Waheed-ud-Din, Vice President (VP) FPCCI Nasir Qureshi and others also addressed the gathering and expressed hope that September 16 is the day of victory of the Found Group.
