‘Gangs of London’ Welcomes Asif Raza Mir Back

Season 3 of the British series brings more turmoil.

Lahore (Newsman): In Season 3 of the British television series Gangs of London, Asif Raza Mir will play Asif Afridi again.

A teaser that was just released announced his comeback. The first look finds Mir’s character Asif, relaxing alone and perhaps formulating plans for future power struggles.

It is intriguing to see what the Pakistani actor would contribute this time, even though the trailer only provides a sneak peek.

It has also been reported that notable cast members like Michelle Fairley, Joe Cole, and Sope Dirisu will return in addition to Asif Raza Mir.

According to Deadline, the synopsis states, “As chaos erupts in London after a spiked shipment of cocaine kills hundreds, fan-favorite characters collide with new faces bound by blood ties, sparking brutal power struggles, unexpected alliances, and fierce rivalries.”

Andrew Koji, Richard Dormer, and T’Nia Miller are the newcomers to the drama series, which promises new chances for a power battle.

Koji will play an assassin, while Dormer will portray a significant historical figure.

However, Miller will take on the role of the next Mayor of London, which will undoubtedly swing the tide of the game against the mafia.

Asif Raza Mir talked about his experience as a cast member of the project in an interview with the Canadian outlet CTV back in 2020.

He said, “The nice thing about this project that I personally liked is that it’s a typical crime gangster series but every individual has his own backstory and at the same time it has the human side of it: the family, the emotions.”

The 65-year-old actor responded that local media is “slightly more melodramatic” when questioned about the differences between working on a Pakistani production and a British one.

While his native industry depends more on expressiveness, Asif Raza Mir claims that the West places more value on subtleties.
