Islamabad : The government has decided to develop a dash board to monitor real time stocks and sales of the petroleum products to preempt any bid of their hoarding or profiteering in the country.
This important decision was taken here in a high level meeting convened to review petroleum product stocks , availability and to ensure their uninterrupted sale to the end users.
The meeting with prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , in the chair , was attended by top policy makers , concerned makers and senior officials of related ministries.
The prime minister ordered formation of the dash board to have real time supply and sales data of petroleum products from across Pakistan.
The prime minister directed to the concerned authorities that they should remain vigilant to ensure that the petroleum products are not boarded by the dealers or petrol pumps owners at this stage when ME war has created a challenge situation for Pakistan. He ordered strict action including cancellation of licenses of those companies , dealers who indulge in black marketing or hoarding of petroleum products in these difficult times.
The officials of the petroleum ministry briefed the meeting on stocks of petroleum products in the country .
They informed the meeting that sufficient stocks of petroleum products were available in the country and there was no urgency in taking any measures which could create panic and gthe masses.
The prime minister directed to the authors to cancel licenses of the petrol pumps if found in hoarding of petrol or other products.
Pakistan is following a conscious approach to thwart any crisis of petroleum products in the country in the wake of US-Israel war on Iran. The government is monitoring the situation on daily basis to make sure that no emergency occurs in the country relating to availability of petroleum products.
