Islamabad : The Federal government has reappointed Lt. Gen. (Retd) , Nazir hmad , as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman for three years.
A notification issued here on March 5,2026 by the Law and Justice Division said three years reappointment tenure of Lt. Gen. (Retd) , Nazir Ahmad , as NAB chairman will commence from March 6, 2026.
Lt Gen. (Retd) Nazir Ahmad , was appointed as NAB chairman in March 2023 and his tenure of three years had expired on March 4, 2026.
Lt Gen. (Retd) Nazir Ahmad has performed well as NAB chief and in his first tenure, the bureau has done a great job. Under Lt Gen. (Retd) Nazir Ahmad NAB has settled record numbers of fraud cases and recovered huge money to return it to the affectees.
NAB stands tall under chairmanship of Lt Gen. (Retd) Nazir Ahmad and the same resulted in extension in his tenure as NAB chairman.
