ISLAMABAD :. (July 25,2022). The government has constituted an inquiry commission for probing allegations of Tayyaba Gul.
Tayyaba Gul, lady, who accused of making hostage in prime minister house in Imran Khan government when she had approached to ousted prime minister , Imran Khan, for justice against her sexual harassment by former chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Justice (R) , Javed Iqbal.
Tayyaba Gul had levelled serious allegations against Imran Khan and
Justice (R) Javed Iqbal in a TV programme. She said Imran Khan used proofs provided by her against former NAB chairman to blackmail him and get decisions in mega corruption cases in favour of his party leaders.
NAB had closed cases against many important leaders including Pervez Khattak, Amir Kayani and many others. Its a general perception that the PTI leadership used material provided by Tayyaba Gul to blackmail NAB ex-chairman , Javed Iqbal, to get clearance certificate for his party leaders who were allegedly involved in mega corruption cases like drug prices scam, Malam Jana .Motel sell- off case . These cases were opened ended and PTI leaders like Pervez Khattak and Amir Kayani were facing indictment in such open ended cases. However, NAB shut down these cases calling insufficient evidence as its reasons of closures of these cases.
The minister said Tayyaba Gul was a day earlier contacted from the prime minister house and all material relating to making her hostage have been received.
Maryam Aurangzeb told media persons while briefing them on the decisions taken by the federal cabinet which met here with prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, in the chair that the cabinet discussed the allegations leveled against ousted prime minister, Imran Khan, and former NAB chairman and approved formation of the inquiry commission to probe the issue in-depth.She said those who will be found guilty of committing the crime in the case would be pushed as per the law of the land.
Maryam added that the cabinet also approved import of 0.3 million tons wheat to plug off gap in Pakistan’s demand and production.
Maryam Aurangzeb shrugged off allegations levelled against her husband by her predecessor , Fawad Chaudhary, that her spouse managed in entices in the last budget for tobacco industry.
Fawad Chaudhary had claimed that Maryam Aurangzeb used her cabinet position to bag undue in entices in terms of tax omission for tobacco industry as her husband has direct interest with tobacco industry.
