Jeddah: Jammu and Kashmir Community Overseas (JKCO) Jeddah hosted a grand and prestigious dinner in honor of Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, President of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The event took place at a renowned hotel in Jeddah and was attended by notable political, social, and religious figures from Pakistan and Kashmir, including Pakistan’s Consul General, Khalid Majeed.
The host of the event was the former Advisor for Overseas Affairs and President of Azad Kashmir, Inayatullah Khan Arif, who warmly welcomed the guests. The event was presided over by former JKCO Chairman Khurshid Ahmed Matyal, who, in his opening remarks, praised Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin’s contributions and paid tribute to his efforts for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
Speaking at the event, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin shared details of his recent visit to the United States, where representatives from 140 countries participated. He highlighted his efforts to raise the Kashmir issue at the international level. Paying tribute to the bravery of the Kashmiri people, he stated that they are courageously facing Indian military oppression and continuously expressing their love for Pakistan. He emphasized that Kashmir remains a crucial agenda item in Pakistan’s foreign policy and that peace in the region cannot be achieved without resolving the issue.
Pakistan’s Consul General, Khalid Majeed, also addressed the gathering, reaffirming the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to providing political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people. He assured that Pakistan would continue to raise its voice for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination on all international forums and expose India’s human rights violations in Kashmir. He expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, assuring them that Pakistan stands with them and will extend all possible support to their struggle.
Several other speakers also addressed the gathering. Sardar Inayatullah Arif recalled the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed their ongoing struggle. Chaudhry Khurshid Ahmed Matyal congratulated Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin on performing Umrah, attributing this blessing to his dedication and sincerity. Sardar Mehtab reiterated his commitment to the Kashmir cause. The President of PPP Saudi Arabia, Chaudhry Tasawar Hussain, also expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the freedom of the Kashmiri people.
The event concluded with prayers and a lavish dinner, where all attendees expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The proceedings were conducted by Raja Shamroz Khan. This event was not only a tribute to Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin but also a reflection of Pakistan’s steadfast support for the rights of the Kashmiri people.
