They just hiked petrol by Rs 55, citing âcurrent global costsâ â prices for Brent crude they havenât even bought, shipped or refined yet. The problem? The fuel youâre buying today was purchased 45 days ago at much lower rates. The math of the scam: đ˘ Shipping: 30 days (if from US/Russia) đ Refining: 7 days đ Logistics: 5 days Total turnaround: ~42 days. We are paying 2026 prices for 2025 stock (was~$60) that hasnât even cleared Port Qasim yet. Crooks, corruption and fascism all rolled into one.
The people of Pakistan are in shock over this great fuel heist and they are asking one an other why our rulers are so callous and why they dropped fuel bomb amidst killing inflation.
Pakistan ‘s vast majority has sunk down to poverty line in the current regime . The rulers who had grabbed power through fraud elections in 2023 do not seem answerable to the Pakistanis. Had they got into power with votes of Pakistanis they might have not gone for such anti masses steps like hiking petrol and diesel by Rs 55 in the garb of ME crisis.
Does any elected government go for making money in the crisis like the people of Pakistan are facing now?. In a least level of shame , its answer could be a big NO.
