THATHA : June 15, 2023: Pakistan People Party (PPP) senior leader and senator, Sussi Palejo, has demanded of the federal government to put an end to laodshedding of power and gas in Sindh to help tis people overcome their day-to-day issues.
The PPP leader was speaking to the media persons after visiting coastal areas of Sindh to oversee the arrangements made by the Sindh government in cooperation with the federal government to evacuate the people from coastal areas of Sindh like Thatha, Keti Bunder and others to protect from any looming danger of the cyclone ‘Biparjoy’.
Pakistan’s coastal areas are under threat of huge cyclone named as Biparjoy and the government is struggling to evacuate the people from those areas where the cyclone is likely to hit any time.
The Met Department of Pakistan had issued more than one red alert claiming that the cyclone –Biparjoy- may hit hard to Thatha, Keti Bunder and other coastal areas of Sindh. Seeing the magnitude of the cyclone, NDMA had moved all resources to evacuate the people from possibility under threat areas and shift them to saver place.
According to the officials figures, Pakistan has shifted around 67 thousand people from potentially under treat areas to make-shift camps where the concerned departments of taking care of them.
PPP leader, Sussi Palejo being a very active political worker visited those coastal areas of Sindh which are potentially under threat of Biparjoy cyclone.
Sussi Palejo appreciated the Sindh government for assistance being given to the evacuees in their camps in Sindh. She also acknowledged the role of federal government to help the people shift to saver places and expressed firm believe that the government’s timely action will mitigate problems of the evacuees and help provide them the best facilities at the camps. She prayed that the cyclone Biparjoy may pass on from the coastal areas of Sindh without causing any harm to the people and damaging heir properties . Sussi Palejo acknowledged the great role of the armed forces including Navy , Air Force and Rangers and said she looks at the services being rendered by the armed forces to the people of coastal areas of Sindh during these difficult times with great respect and honour.
