ISLAMABAD August 22,2022. Has Imran Khan slipped away from his Banigala residence in Islamabad?.
This is a million dollar question as no one knows whereabouts of Imran Khan.
Imran Khan was in Banigala on Sunday night when the security forces had set up a check post outside his residence to have a record of those who were coming to Banigala to meet him . This development resulted in panic in Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders who rushed to Banigala to resist possible arrest of Imran Khan .
The PTI leaders also gave a countrywide protest call to avert imminent arrest of Imran Khan.
On Monday , rumors started to crop up that Imran Khan has slipped out of Banigala to avoid his arrest in terror case.
The Islamabad police have registered a case against Imran Khan for hurling threats of taking action against a lady session judge who had granted a 3 -day physical remand of Shahbaz Gill and senior police officers who arrested him.
The security personnel believe that Imran Khan slipped out of Banigala in a car of some of his confidant to avoid his arrest in wee hours of Monday.
Imran Khan’s whereabouts are still unknown, but there is a strong possibility that he might have eloped from Banigala in any car to dodge the police who were stationed outside his residence on Sunday night . His destination would either be Kyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) or Punjab where his party is in rule.
Imran Khan is not appearing in any media since coming of the Islamabad police and the Rangers outside his residence in Banigala .
Although PTI leader ,Faisal Vawda, claimed on Monday in a tweet that Imran Khan like Sharif’s was not a fugitive and he was at his residence in Banigala . But circumstantial evidence and statement of Information minister , Maryam Aurangzeb have created doubts on presence of Imran Khan in Banigala.
Maryam Aurangzeb had claimed on Monday in her press talk that the “Revolutionary” leader (Imran Khan) has run away from Banigala to avoid his arrest in terror case .
