IDB to arrange ‘qurbani’ for Pakistani Hajjaj

JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia ). Pakistan Hajj mission in Saudi Arabia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Islamic Development Bank (IDB) which provides that the latter will arrange ‘qurbani’ for Pakistani Hajjaj as per Sharia to fulfil a basic condition of the Hajj.
The IDB has also agreed to arrange ‘qurbani’ for Pakistani Hajjaj at lower than original cost. As per the MoU, IDB would arrange ‘qurbani’ for Pakistani Jajj at 809 Riyals against original cost of 849 Riyals.
The MoU was signed between the Pakistani Hajj mission and director general Hajj , Ibrar Mirza, director Hajj, Sajid Manzoor Asadi , and the representative of IDB here on June 21, 2022.
After signing the MoU , Director Hajj, Sajid Manzoor Asadi , told APP that the IDB has cut down cost of :’qurbani’for Pakistani Hajj on the request of Hajj mission and it was a good development . He said a committee comprising Ulema and Directorate of Hajj officials will monitor the quality of sacrificial animals to ensure that the sacrificial animals meet the quality and standards set by the Islam for this important term of Hajj. He said the IDB will provide information of time of ‘qurbani’ to each Pakistani Hajjaj in real time
As per Hajj terms , Hajjaj can not get their cut after Hajj unless they get information that his or her ‘qurbani’ has been offered. Director Hajj said IDB will make sure that ‘qurbani’ for Pakistani Hajjaj is offered as per Sharia and in time to avoid any hassle for Pakistani Hajjaj. He said the facility of ‘qurbani’ by IDB will be only available for those Hajjaj who are performing Hajj 2022 under government scheme .
