Islamabad : Today on Wednesday 16th April Honble Mr.Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas of Islamabad High Court on the writ petition of Mr.Muhammad Majid Bashir advocate issued direction to Federal government and Ministry of Human Rights to issue notification of Senior citizen council under section 3 of Senior citizen Act 2021 to constitute it within two months.
During the argument Mr.Majid Bashir advocate pleaded before the honourable court that after four year since enactment of Senior Citizen Act ( 2021) was promulgated in 2021, the government has not been enforced and implemented it to constitute SCC .He further informed the court that the notification of the Senior Citizen Council is essential as it will take care of remaining operations and activities of the Senior Citizen in the federal capital .This writ is filed in the public interest and well being of senior citizens of Pakistan .
