Imran Khan seems confused ahead of Azadi march

Takes U turn, seeks intervention of establishment to avoid any mishap

PESHAWAR : Pakistan Tehreek- e – Insaf (PTI) chairman , Imran Khan, lashed out at invisible force by saying he was time and again conveyed that things were being finalised, but it never happened and he finally decided not to believe in more promises which were conveyed to him. He took a new stance regarding neutrality of the establishment in just 24 hours and said ” it’s not time to stay neutral. I call upon the armed forces to intervene to avoid any un toward incident in the country”.

Imran Khan came up with changed stance on the role of establishment here at a press conference .
The PTI chief threw a challenge to the government and claimed that his Azadi march will be a flood of the people and if someone can stop it he can make a bid for it. A day before , Imran Khan had given a message to the establishment that if its neutral it should stay neutral but now after only 24 hours he wants intervention of the establishment to avert any mishap in the country.
Imran Khan confirmed that he was waiting for some role of the establishment for days for ensuring announcement for having general elections in the country. He said ” I was telling in almost every public rally to announce schedule for Azadi march on May 20, 2022 but each time he was conveyed that issues were being given final touches, but these promises remained un-fulilled and finally he announced Azadi march schedule on May 22″. He vowed to lead Azadi march from Peshawar for Islamabad ,. Imran Khan showed firm confidence that millions of Pakistani will join his Azadi march.
Meanwhile , the government has put its entire machinery in motion to stop Azadi march.it has blocked all main highways with containers loaded with sand . It has also orded the police to conduct raids on the houses of PTI leaders in Punjab and in some cities of Sindh. During raids , the police have arrested several PTI leaders.. In order to ensure safety to the diplomatic missions , the police have sealed entire red zone. There are media reports that the government hand over red zone in Islamabad to the army. The government has closed down educational institutions in Islamabad for two days. All exams which were scheduled in next couple of days have been postponed . There were reports of shutting down of internet service but the Interior ministry denied such reports. However, metro service has been suspended between Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The PTI chief condemned police raids at the residences of his party leaders and warned the government to desist from illegal acts like PTI leaders arrests and raids at their houses to stop them from participating in the march.
