Ishaq Dar Departs for Riyadh to Attend OIC Foreign Ministers’ Conference

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar Leaves for Riyadh to Attend OIC Foreign Ministers’ Conference.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ conference.

A spokesperson for the Foreign Office confirmed that Dar will also join the Pakistani delegation at the upcoming second Arab-Islamic Summit, which will be led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The high-level discussions at the conference are expected to focus on the situation in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing Israeli actions in Palestine.

The summit will bring together foreign ministers from OIC member states to discuss regional issues and developments.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Saudi Arabia on Monday to attend the 2nd Joint Arab-Islamic Follow-Up Summit in Riyadh on November 11.

The summit, convened at the initiative of the Saudi government, will focus on the ongoing situation in the Middle East, particularly Israel’s military actions in Gaza.

Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch confirmed that Prime Minister Sharif will reaffirm Pakistan’s strong support for Palestine, calling for an immediate end to the genocide in Gaza and the provision of international protection for the Palestinian people.
