ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s airstrikes against Iran, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday as a response to a missile attack earlier this month.
In a statement from its Foreign Office, Pakistan described these strikes as a serious violation of the UN Charter and international law, asserting that they threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran.
The statement emphasized that such actions undermine efforts for regional peace and stability, representing a dangerous escalation in an already tense area. Pakistan holds Israel fully responsible for the ongoing cycle of conflict and escalation in the region.
Furthermore, Pakistan urged the UN Security Council to take immediate action to halt Israel’s aggressive actions and to work towards maintaining international peace and security. The statement concluded by calling on the international community to contribute to restoring regional peace.
