‘Ittehad e Umma’ conference calls for unity, brotherhood to foil anti Pakistan agenda

RAWALPINDI: An ‘Ittehad e Ummat’ conference held here on Wednesday unanimously passed a declaration stressing upon all sects in Pakistan to call for broader unity in their ranks for durable and sustainable peace in the country, besides foiling anti Pakistan agenda.

Pir Naqibur Rehman of Pir Eidgah Sharif presided over the conference which was attended by 43 prominent religious scholars coming from different schools of thought.

Federal Religious minister, Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri, also participated in the conference.

The declaration called upon the religious leaders of all sects to play their role in creating harmony in the society.

It also urged upon the religious scholars that they should discourage any content and material that can create disharmony among the followers of different schools of thought . It noted with serious concern that some unscruplous elements were using social media platform to create hattered among the people and harm the country It urged upon the religious scholars to keep an eye on social media for timely response to such activities on social media platform.

The conference extended all out support to army chief, Qamar Javed Bajwa, for doing his services to Pakistan to make it a great Islamic country in the world.
