JEDDAH: Kashmiris observe Black Day

JEDDAH: (Saudi Arabia) October 27, 1947 was the darkest day in the history of South Asia when the worst example of Indian occupation of Kashmir and killing of humanity was set.
Jeddah Jammu and Kashmir Community Overseas Platform hosted a Black Day function at a local hotel in Jeddah with Consul General of Pakistan Khalid Majeed as the special guest.

The event was presided over by Jammu and Kashmir Community Overseas Chairman Chaudhry Khurshid Matial. The event was attended by a large number of people from Pakistan and Kashmir community and strongly condemned India’s good tactics and vowed to continue its diplomatic and moral support to the oppressed Kashmiris in every forum of the world till the dawn of independence.

The testimonies of more than 600,000 people will never go in vain. Speakers including Chaudhry Maroof Hussain, Sardar Mehtab Sarwar, Mohsin Ghauri, Raja Shamroz, Noshirwan Khattak, Chaudhry Taswar, Sardar Ashfaq Khan, Sardar Waqas Inayatullah, Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, Mufti Uzair Bhatta, Bashir Swati, Masood Puri said that The Kashmiri leadership’s determination to form a revolutionary government on October 24 was that they did not want to be with India at all. The time has come for the world to comply with the UN resolutions in Kashmir and put pressure on India to hold a referendum in Kashmir so that Kashmiris can decide their future.

The Consul General of Pakistan appreciated the movement of 1947 and the sacrifices of the Kashmiri elders and paid tribute to their spirit of Hurriyat and said that thanks to them people are breathing freedom in the region which is free today. Just as the market for killings in occupied Kashmir is hot and India is losing the moral war with the unconstitutional and illegal measures of August 5, but the oppressed Kashmiris are promised that we will never leave them alone. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the elevation of the ranks of martyrs and independence of Kashmir.
