THATHA/BADIN: While addressing public gatherings in Thatha and Badin, Jamaat Islami ameer, senator Sirajul Haq on Thursday announced to move the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) for impartial investigation into the scam and get all those who were involved in plundering the national resources and taking money out of Pakistan punished.
“We reject the prime minister’s decision of forming a cell at the Prime Minister Inspection Commission as it was a move to protect the minister and other government high ups whose names had figured in Pandora Papers scam. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) had released its Pandora Papers report that exposed names of many federal ministers and political aides to the prime minister. Within 24 hours from the release of Panama Papers, the prime minister announced to investigate all those whose names had figured in Pandora Papers. But opposition including Jamaat Islami did not trust the government in this matter.
The JI ameer categorically announced that the government move of forming a cell to imvestigate Pandora Papers was a bid on the prime minister’s part to save his cabinet members whose names had appeared in Pandora Papers scam. Siraj ul Haq said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) has surpassed the Pakistan People Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) in corruption and its any decision to probe Pandora Papers was unacceptable. Sirajul Haq asked the people of Sindh to vote for Jamaat Islami (JI) in next elections. He said PPP and PMLN had failed to run the affairs of the state. Sirajul Haq added the PPP rule in Sindh has damaged the city like Thatha once known for art and education. He said the PPP was like a torment for the people of Sindh. On his arrival at Makli, Sirajul Haq and his team thanked the people.of Thatha and Badin for according him a rosy welcome and offering ‘Ajrak’ Sindhi shawl. JI ameer walked down to the car of Ismael Gundro, a 90 years old founder member of JI in Sindh, to meet him. The JI ameer was accompanied by Asad Bhutto, niab (vice) ameer JI Pakistan ,ameer Jamaat Islami, M Hussain Mehnati, former niab ameer Sindh, Dr Mirajul Huda Siddiqi, general secretary Kashif Saeed, provincial press spokesman , Mujahid Channa, Imtiaz Palari JI Youth Sindh leader, ameer Jamaat Islami Thatha, Altaf Ahmad Malah, niab ameer , Maulana Atta ur Rehman Baloch, Ghulam Shafi Samoon and many others.
