ISLAMABAD: Jaamat e Islami (JI) has termed the increase in petroleum products’ prices as totally unjustified and inhuman act that its ameer, Senator Srajul Haq said will make the people lives miserable.
In a statement issued by JI media coordinator, Shahid Shamsi, JI ameer expressed disappointment over what he called anti people policies of Pakistan Tehreek- e- Insaf (PTI) government meant to protect interest of International Monetory Fund (IMF) rather than 220 million people of Pakistan. Senator Sirajul Haq said today the masses are in deep trouble as they are made to face unprecedented price-hike.
He claimed that prime minister , Imran Khan, was promoting and protecting well organised mafias to run the country and his enter focus was on adding unbearable pressure of pricehike on ths people of Pakista.
Sirajul Haq noted that the imcrease upto Rs 5.40 in the prices of petroleum products was pre-planned and in context with IMF agreement to raise over Rs 600 billion in the current fiscal year.
JI ameer said he was repeatedly cautioning to the people of Pakistan that PTI rule was continuity of the previous two rules and it too was pushing forward agenda like Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz ( PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of promoting IMF culture in Pakistan. Sirajul Haq added that Imran Khan like previous rulers has no interest in protecting the interests of the public.
JI ameer asserted that price hike and unemployment was forcing the masses to come to the streets to throw the PTI out from power. Sirajul Haq wondered as to why PTI was chiding the masses by showing callousness towards the people of Pakistan.
JI ameer warned the rulers to avoid more financial burden on the people to appease IMF and demanded reversal of latest upward revision in the petroleum products’ prices..
