LAHORE: March 18,2023: .Lahore Qalandars became Pakistan Super League ( PSL) champions for the second time after defeating Multan Sultans – With winning Saturday’s final against Multan Sultans , Lahore Qalandars has become is the first team to successfully defend the title in PS
Defending champion Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first . Batting the first Lahore Qalandars scored 200 runs in the allotted overs.
Captain Shaheen Afridi performed as an all-round, he scored 44 runs and guided 4 players to the pavilion.

Abdullah Shafiq scored 65 runs, Fakhar Zaman 39 runs and Shaheen Afridi scored 44 runs for Lahore Qalandars. Shaheen Afridi also hit 5 sixes and 2 fours.
For Multan Sultans, Osama Mir dismissed three players.
Multan Sultans managed to score 199 runs in the allotted overs and lost by one run. On behalf of Multan, Riley Russo scored 52 runs, Rizwan 34 and Khushdil Shah scored 25 runs.
Rashid Khan took two wickets while David Visa got one wicket. .
Shaheen Afridi was declared man of the match for his all rounder performance in the final match.
Speaking after winning the final match, captain Shaheen Afridi said, “I thought I would help the team in a difficult time, the victory was achieved with the prayers of parents.”.
Lahore Qalandars have become the second team to win the PSL title for the second time. Earlier, Islamabad United has also become PSL champions twice. Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi have won the event.
Before the final match, there was also a colorful closing ceremony of the event in which renowned artistes performed their art.
Multan Sultans’s Abbas Afridi received the best bowler of the tournament award and its captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 550 runs and was declared the best batsman of the tournament.

Imad Wasim of Karachi Kings declared the best all-rounder of the tournament
Kieron Pollard adjudged best fielder of the tournament
Mohammad Rizwan got the best wicket keeper award of the tournament
Ehsanullah won Player of the tournament, Ehsanullah took 22 wickets in the tournament
