Today these former princely states whether Swat or Hunza are worst victims of both political and administrative mismanagement resulting into absolute mess and chaos where the subjects of these jewels in the Pakistani Crown are facing worst discrimination and have no say in their own affairs left in the lurch or on the streets to protest demanding justice and peace for themselves and their areas .
It was a rude shock to the people of Hunza when an alleged settler namely Javed is reportedly appointed as Judge, someone who had no practical legal practise experience and the well qualified and incumbent prosecutor NAB Court Gilgit Baltistan namely Amin Khan ignored who besides being a gentleman was the favourite of the other judges and hot favourite of the community from Hunza for whose appointment even Honourable Piyar Ali Allana, the Global President Agha Khan Development Network, the organisation with commendable social development contribution, reportedly put in his word to the Prime Minister purely on merit then either nepotism or favouritism .
The last hope of the nation was justice and even if it is politicised and judges are appointed for political reasons as opposed to merit and their meeting professional prerequisites that makes even the very last hope lost to the worst to happen sooner or later, but still to day dream for better times would be to live in a fool’s paradise that we as a nation lived for the last 75 years waiting for justice, peace and prosperity .
