LAHORE; The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday struckdown National Accountability Bureau (NAB) plea in income beyond means and money laundering cases.
The court ordered release of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML) president on submission of surety bonds of Rs 5 million in both cases.
NAB had arrested Shahbaz Sharif in these cases in 2020.
The release of Shahbaz Sharif in these two serious cases is of extraordinary importance. This development gave a big blow to NAB which failed to prove its cases before the court of law in yet another important case filled against Sharifs.
Two Sharifs…Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif …are also on bail in NAB cases.
Mian Nawaz Sharif has already gone out of Pakistan despite conviction in income beyond mean case.
Now relief to Sharif granted by the court of law iabgoing to have major impact on the national politics. It do have a clear mesaage for imran Khan government.
