Rawalpindi : Sept 23 ,2024: Lt general , Asim Malik , has been appointed as a new Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) director general . Mr Malik was previously serving as adjutant general at the army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. He will take charge as new ISI chief on September 30,2024. Lt. General Asim Malik will replace Lt. General Nadeem Anjum as ISI chief. ISI is among top spy agencies of the world. Pakistan is facing hard times these days as it’s being targeted by international establishment for many reasons . The international establishment has unleashed many gangs of terrorists like TTP Daesh and Al-Qaeda to destablise Pakistan. Seeing circumstances ripe to damage Pakistan India is sponsoring and facilitating anti Pakistan elements who with the logistics support of deadly terrorist groups including TTP and others are targeting Pakistan’s security agencies. In the given situation, appointment of Pakistan’s top agency ‘s chief becomes extraordinary not only for Pakistan , but also for many international players . Lt general Nadeem Anjum retirement as ISI boss was due for long time. For the last couple of weeks , appointment of his successor was talk of the day in Pakistan. The new ISI boss will be having great challenges to counter on-goijg deadly international conspiracy hatched against Pakistan.
