ISLAMABAD : Nov 16,2022: With an announcement of taking, Shaikh Umar Farooq, a self-claimant buyer of priceless watch and other gifts of worth millions of dollars sold out allegedly by Farah Gogi, a confidant of former first lady, Bushra Bibi, for Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, has given a new twist to Toshakhana case .
In reaction to the claims made by Shaikh Umar Farooq, a Dubai-based Pakistani businessman , in his televised interview aired by Geo News the other day , PTI chief, Imran Khan, has announced to launch legal battle against the self claimant buyer for ” distorting” his repute.
Shaikh Omar Farooq had claimed in his interview aired by Geo News that he purchased priceless watch and other gifts from Farah Gogi in 2019 and paid her money in cash . He also gave background of the deal and the price he paid to Farah Gogi for the gifts that were given by Saudi crown prince to Imran Khan in his visit to Saudi Arabia .
Toshakhana case is not so simple . Imran Khan and his close confidant- cum former principal secretary , Azam Khan, new it well. Had it been so simple, Azam Khan would not have intimidated a senior officer of the Cabinet Division who was then in- charge of Toshakhana in the presence of his buddy none other, but Imran Khan who is showing cautiousness of his repute as an ‘honest’ man.
Imran Khan and Azam Khan, who being the civil servant was more loyal to Imran Khan than the state as principal secretary to the prime minister , have to face many legal questions when this case lands in any court of Norway United Arab Emirates (UAE) or any other country.
In the first step, Mr Imran Khan and his buddy ,Azam Khan, have to satisfy the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that their role in Toshakhana was in line with the law of the land and that they did nothing wrong by grabbing priceless gifts given to Imran Khan by Saudi prince , Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) during a visit to Saudi Arabia .
Imran Khan and his close aides , who have a role in deal made by Farah Gogi on behalf of Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi for sale of priceless watch and other gifts , have probably forgot how they treated and intimidated a senior officer of Cabinet Division for not changing the record of Toshakhana to trash the evidences of wrongdoings in grab of the priceless watch and other gifts.
Toshakhana case is a clear case of Imran Khan’s lust for money and its relevant record is going to haunt PTI chief and many others in local and courts of other countries. This case will also establish how Imran Khan and his buddies fixed up the government officials or non officials like Shaikh Umar Farooq for not meeting their demands and how unbridled powers were accorded by the “Sadiq and Ameen’ of this country to Shahzad Akbar to blackmail others for not bowing down to the demands made by PTI chief and his buddies .
Imran Khan and Shahzad Akbar have to also face another major question as to how Shahzad Akbar got permission from the federal cabinet for seeking extradition of a Pakistani businessman in a family dispute case?
Every Tom and Jerry knows in this country knows Imran Khan’s special relationship with Shahzad Akbar . Pakistanis still now how Imran Khan misused his authority as a prime minister to approve £190 million surrendered by Pakistani property tycoon ,Riaz Malik, to National Crime Agency (NCA) of United Kingdom (UK) as corruption money was diverted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan account against his liabilities in Karachi land grabbing case.
Again Farah Gogi’s case and her relationship with Bushra Bibi is available in the Prime Minister House ‘s official recorded . Imran Khan’s ‘honesty” and “repute” both will stand exposed once Toshakhana case lands in Norway and UAE.
