Rawalpindi : Media and lawyers are playing an important role in legal awareness, said President Media Advocacy Forum Pakistan, Iftikhar Khattak, while congratulating the newly elected President of the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi, Saeed Yousuf Khan Advocate, Senior Vice President Shazia Yousuf Raja, and others. President Media Advocacy Forum Pakistan, Iftikhar Khattak, said that the media is an effective means of informing citizens about their constitutional rights and legal responsibilities.
The media ensures transparency by exposing violations of the law. He further said that amendments to the law and discussion on human rights issues through the media pave the way for legal reforms. Remember that in the Rawalpindi High Court Bar election, Saeed Yousuf Khan was elected president with 1520 votes, while Qasim Mahmood Malik was elected secretary general, senior vice president Shazia Yousuf Raja, vice president Naila Firdous Kayani, and joint secretary Sheikh Fahad Fayyaz.
Earlier, Haroon Ayaz Malik, Asim Masood, Asad Rafique, Kamran Haider Chaudhry, Abdul Samad Abbasi, and Nader Majeed were elected unopposed to the posts of Additional Secretary for Women, Library Secretary, and 6 seats of the executive body.
