Memorable poetry evening organized by Kababish Arts Council, renowned poets Enthrall Audience

Jeddah — In collaboration with the literary organization Halqa Fikr-o-Fan, the Kababish Arts Council hosted a grand poetry evening that provided literature enthusiasts with a memorable experience.

The event was gracefully hosted by the renowned poet Aftab Ahmed Tarabi, while Qari Shabbir recited verses from the Holy Quran to begin the session.

Dr. Syed Taqi Abidi and Iqra Saleem beautifully presented Na’ats, which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The event was presided over by the eminent scholar and poet Dr. Syed Naeem Hamid Ali Al-Hamid, with Dr. Syed Taqi Abidi, a distinguished poet and writer, as the chief guest.

Prominent poets including Aftab Tarabi, Syed Tashfeen Mujahid, Faisal Tufail, Imran Awan, and Waheed-ul-Qadri Arif captivated the audience with their unique and enchanting poetry, earning heartfelt applause from attendees. The verses recited during the evening left a deep impression on the listeners.

Dr. Taqi Abidi shed light on various aspects of Iqbal’s philosophy, highlighting the intellectual and cultural richness of Urdu literature.
Dr. Naeem Hamid Ali Al-Hamid formally launched the book Bahar-e-Ijadi Bedil by renowned poet Hamid Ali Hamid, elaborating on the philosophical dimensions of Bedil’s poetry.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of Urdu language and literature, praising the efforts of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia for promoting literary activities. They acknowledged that such programs in Jeddah play a crucial role in the advancement and appeal of the Urdu language.

At the conclusion of the evening, Kababish Arts Council President Ali Khurshid Malik expressed his gratitude to all guests, poets, and participants. He assured that the council would continue organizing such events to promote Urdu literature in the future.
