Lahore / Rawalpindi : Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters of mutual interest in the meeting.
The general law and order situation in Punjab was discussed in the mutual meeting. The situation of the Kachha area and provincial border posts was discussed. The meeting agreed to jointly deal with foreign terrorists and to make coordinated efforts to improve the law and order situation. It may be recalled that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and congratulated the Prime Minister on Eid al-Fitr.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said that the Interior Minister also briefed the Prime Minister about the progress of security measures in the country and the progress of the process of repatriation of Afghan nationals.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the law and order situation in the country, especially on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. During the meeting, matters related to the relevant ministry were also discussed.
