NAB had auctioned Absconder Malik Riaz’s 6 prime commercial properties in connection with Bahria Town ‘s default on payments .
As is a blackmailing tactics , Malik Riaz had first left a message on X platform , claiming that he was going to shutdown Bahria Town project following the government actions against it . He claimed that some government department were involved in arresting his employees for pressurising him. Seeing that his policy of blackmailing is not working , Malik Riaz next day issued another statement from Dubai that may be given a path for returning to Pakistan and work on his Bahria Town project. Again his second attempt also made nothing good for Bahria Town. Instead giving some soft approach to Malik Riaz ‘s last ditch effort to delay auction of prime commercial properties of Bahria Town, Information minister , Atta Tarar , served Malik Riaz a charge sheet for his cheating , plundering general public in the name of plot allotments in Bahria Town and money laundering.
Atta Tarar issued a statement against Malik Riaz and accused Bahria Town of massive money laundering through Bahria Hospital. He claimed Malik Riaz used Bahria Hospital as a front desk for money laundering.
This development was followed by auction of 6 prime properties of Bahria Town here on Thursday. NAB in its handout made it clear that it will make sure that the law of the land is followed in letter and spirit in Malik Riaz ‘s properties auction case.
