ISLAMABAD : Feb 21: Is Shahbaz government going to appoint Fawad Hasan Fawad as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman ?
If it’s the case , it would add another bad decision to Shahbaz Sharif led government.
Fawad Hasan Fawad is known for his loyalty to House of Sharifs. Fawad Hasan Fawad had faced serious charges of corruption as principal secretary to ex prime minister , Nawaz Sharif and he had been behind the bars in a case of having assets beyond known sources of income.
According to the reference filed against him in Imran Khan’s tenure , Fawad Hasan Fawad has commerical and properties in Rawalpindi and Islamabad of worth Rs 8 to 10 billion.
Shahbaz Sharif government has a history of picking up his loyal bureaucrats . No matter these choices are retired or serving bureaucrats .
Shahbaz government has already picked up Tauqir Shah , again known for his life long loyalty to House of Sharifs.
Fawad Hasan Fawad, if picked for NAB Chairman post, would prove that Shahbaz Sharif and his government has no interest or honour for fair play in governance and his entire focus is on bringing his loyals on ok key posts.
Aftab Sultan , a reputed bureaucrat, had resigned as NAB chief early this morning . Shahbaz Sharif had later accepted resignation of Aftab Sultan as NAB chief.
Within hours, the government reportedly decided to pick Fawad Hasan Fawad for the post .
