Nawaz may end up in jail on return

Legal fraternity says convict can not get protective bail

.ISLAMABAD : Oct 10 : With each passing day , Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) is getting closer to its target to give a rosy welcome to its supremo Mian Nawaz Shaif who is scheduled to return to Pakistan after ending his 4-year self exile .

Nawaz Sharif is coming back to Pakistan with a chance to go to jail before his legal team gets a protective bail in different cases . PMLN supremo is convicted in a case of assets beyond known sources of income .

Although his legal team led by former Law minister , Azam Nazir Tarar , is pretty confident that it will secure a protective bail for Nawaz Sharif , but many top legal brains have other way legal opinion .

Sikandar A Khan , a senior lawyer and Pakistan ‘s top businessmen , argue on legal points . He says Nawaz Sharif is a convict and how a convict can get a protective bail. “I am a lawyer and can say on legal grounds that a convict can not be granted a protective bail”,

Sikandar Khan said when was asked to comment on Nawaz ‘s return from exile and grant of protective bail. He added that by legal terms a court of law can grant a protective bail to an accused and not to a .convict . He said “Let ‘s be fair to this country if the courts grant protective bail to convict– Nawaz Sharif– it will have far-reaching negative impact on already frail legal system of Pakistan” .

Sikandar Khan’s legal opinion seems very valid as Shahid Khaqan Abbasi , a PMLN wise mind and a senior party leader , on Tuesday proposed to Nawaz Sharif to surrender to the court of law rather than defying it to address the public at Minar e Pakistan soon after his landing in Lahore on October 21.

Nawaz Sharif is coming to Lahore from United Kingdom via Dubai and his party is preparing for a mammoth public rally at Minar e Pakistan to welcome him on arrival in Lahore. Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on October 21.
