HAFIZA ABAD:. Prime minister , Imran Khan, on Sunday addressed to.a big public rally and told the people in clear terms that he was not here (in power) to provide you cheaper potato and tomato. Rather , he added , he was here to transform Pakistanis into a one nation . The prime minister ‘s address that he was not your leader to provide you tomato and potato at cheaper price but make Pakistanis such a nation which stands for greater cause . He as usual lashed out at the political opponents, saying Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari used to wear pant and coat in their meetings with the ‘Goras”. Apparently , his purpose to refer pant coat was to remind the public that he wears Shalwar qameez on foreign tours. To the prime minister , wearing Shalwar qameez for meetings with the foreign dignitaries. is a great sign of leadership.
The prime minister said the opposition’s no confidence motion was basically a ploy to get relief from him but they, in his views , will never succeed. Imran Khan said in previous regime 400 drones were fired by NATO on Pakistan but neither Nawaz Sharif nor Asif Ali Zardari condemned it. He said Pakistan has made an independent policy for relations with the global community and his government will follow the same in letter and spirit . The prime minister said US was an important country and large number of Pakistani live there. China too, he maintained , is important for us. It provides us fighter planes in shortest period. He appreciated Russian President for honouring him during his visit to Russia. He said Pakistan will have good relations with each country.
He said the opposition leaders were worried about my comments regarding European Union but they were not bothered about Pakistan’s security and in integrity. The prime minister vowed once again to defeat the opposition in voting on no confidence submitted against him.
