Opposition makes last ditch efforts to secure target for no confidence motion

PMLQ leaders meet Asif Zardari, Shahbaz meets Sirajul Haq

ISLAMABAD : The opposition is making last ditch efforts to seal maximum support for its tabled no confidence motion.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) , Shahbaz Sharif , had a meeting with Jamaat e Islami chief, senator Sirajul Haq, here on Wednesday to seek his support for no confidence motion. Later , Balochistan Awami Milli Party (BAMP) , Mahmood Khan Achakzai, and PMLN senior leader, Ahsin Iqbal also called on JI chief separately to seek his party support for the opposition’s no confidence motion.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PMLQ) had a meeting with Pakistan People Party (PPP) supremo and former president, Asif Ali Zardari. The leaders of both parties discussed the political situation with reference to the opposition’s no confidence.

Talking to PMLN delegation, JI chief , Senator Siraj ul Haq , has said the change of the system not change of faces is solution to the problem confronted with Pakistan . Siraj Ul Haq was speaking to the journalists here along with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) president , Shahbaz Sharif , who called on him along with party leaders including Saad Rafiq.
Surajul Haq noted that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government has failed to deliver in its three and half years . He said the Jamaat e
Islami (JI) is in favour of a transparent and impartial general elections in the country . He demanded change of voting system and said the proportionate vote system is a better system and it can restore confidence of the voter in the system. JI chief told PMLN delegation that his party takes all decision with consultation and now when the opposition has submitted no confidence motion in the national assembly against the prime minister it will take a decision on the issue after consultation with the party.
PMLN chief, Shahbaz Sharif, on the occasion said the opposition wants to send prime minister home through diplomatic process and it tabled the no confidence motion for this in the national assembly. Shahbaz Sharif said he and his delegation has held the meeting with JI chief to seek JI support for the opposition for no confidence.
