CHRIST CHURCH: October 14, 2022: Pakistan defeated New Zealand in ti series T20 final played at Hagley Oval stadium on Friday and won the series against New Zealand and Bangladesh .
New Zealand made 163 runs in 20 over and set a target of 164 runs for Pakistan .
Pakistan’s batting performance was not very impressive. Captain Babar Azam lost his wicket in the first over when Pakistan’s score was only 9. Shan Masood and Rizwan took Pakistan’s score to 69 when Shan Masood got out on the first ball of the over in 11th over. Rizwan made 34 runs of 29 balls and help Pakistan keep reeling closer to the victory. However, M Nawaz was a real hero of Hagley Oval stadium on Friday in the final of tri series T 20 competition. He made 34 runs of just 22 balls and remained not out.
Pakistan’s victory in tri series T20 in New Zealand ahead of T20 world cup 22 will give Pakistan big confidence and inspire Pakistani side to perform better in T20 world cup.
