Sharjah : Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in UAE Tri- nation T20 series by 75 runs on Sunday.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first . It’s start of the inning was not very good and it could put only 141 on the board in its allotted 20 overs . None of Pakistani batter could make any considerable score . It was a tail-end especially , Fahim Ashraf , Mohammad Nawaz who expedited the score to take it to a reasonable level of 141.
Pakistani batting line remained under pressure from the start of the inning due to early loss of wickets. None of Pakistani opener could give a reasonable start of the inning in early overs and it put the remaining batting line under pressure. At one stage it seemed that Pakistan could end up at around 120 or so but thanks to middle and tail end they put some quick score on the board in the last four overs.
Afghanistan also failed to make some reasonable start of its inning . Pakistani spinners made it hard for Afghanistan batters to play big hits . Mohammad Nawaz remained absolute hero of Pakistan . He bowled out 5 Afghan batters and set a stage for Pakistan’s victory in UAE tri- nation T20 series . Abrar Ahmad and Muqeem also performed well with the ball and each one of them bowled out 2 Afghan batters . Shaheen Shah Afridi took one wicket . Afghanistan were all out for 66 runs. Afghan team could not play Pakistani spinners with confidence .
